Free Meditation Sessions – 4 Week Program

Now is a great time to learn meditation and get some inner peace and gain the benefits of meditating in a group. The Bay View Community Centre is hosting free meditation classes offered by the Sri Chinmoy Centre.

Session 1 - Getting started with meditation, the ABC’s
Session 2 - Walking the road of meditation
Session 3 - Some of the goals of meditation
Session 4 - Art, Music and Mantra for meditation

Zumba Gold

Over 9 weeks, participants will be taken through a range of low and medium-intensity and lower impact dance moves that are designed for everybody, no matter their fitness level. Be ready to dance, sweat and meet new friends.

Please bring a towel and a water bottle.

Beginner Tai Chi

The Beginners Chen Tai Chi Program is an 9-week journey to boost physical and mental well-being through Chen Family Tai Chi.

No prior experience is needed, perfect for beginners.

KONGA

An easy-to-follow, mood-elevating, high intensity fusion of Boxing, Cardio, Dance and Sculpting set to the hottest beats. KONGA® is the all-in-one workout that will torch calories, tone up your bod, and is designed to be super inclusive for all shapes, ages, sizes and of course those who have two left feet.

Please bring a water bottle and yoga mat.

Individual Class

Intermediate Tai Chi

The Intermediate session will focus on the Chen Tai Chi 13 Posture Routine. This class is suitable for students who have some previous Tai Chi experience and would like to deepen their practice. The 13 Postures help develop core strength, balance, coordination, agility and body awareness, while also improving relaxation, breathing and mindful movement.

The session will build on the foundations from the regular class, with more detailed work on posture, weight shifting, footwork and smooth transitions.

We kindly ask that you only attend the intermediate session if you have previously completed a beginner’s Tai Chi program or have prior Tai Chi experience.

Join artist Kate Allen for a fun six-week art program that encourages kids to explore different art mediums and express their creativity. 

A perfect program for young artists who love to experiment and create.

  • Collage
  • Weaving
