Meditation class series Block 2

Now is a great time to learn meditation and get some inner peace and gain the benefits of meditating in a group. 

These free meditation classes are offered by the Sri Chinmoy Centre. 

As it's a continuation series please try and attend all five sessions of the series. 

When: Tuesdays starting 3 June

Be Connected's IT Support Session

Join Be Connected's IT Support Sessions 

Make an appointment to learn how to - 

• Use apps and the Library's free digital library

• You may also bring your own device and learn the basic ins and outs of using a computer, iPhone or tablet at the Bay View Community Centre. 

When: 

• Tuesday, 22 July 5pm - 6pm 
• Tuesday, 29 July 5:30pm - 6:30pm 
• Tuesday, 5 August 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Zumba

Over 10 weeks, participants will be taken through a range of low and medium-intensity and lower impact dance moves that are designed for everybody, no matter their fitness level. Be ready to dance, sweat and meet new friends. Please bring a towel and a water bottle.

Classes are weekly on Tuesday's from 11:00am - 11.45am

Konga with the Jungle Body Coastal

An easy-to-follow, mood-elevating, high intensity fusion of boxing, cardio, dance and sculpting set to the hottest beats. 

Classes are super inclusive for all shapes, sizes, ages and those who have two left feet. 

Please bring a water bottle and yoga mat. 

When: Wednesdays starting 23 July 

Time: 9:15am - 10:15am

Getlow with the Jungle Body Coastal

Perfect for all generations, pre and post natal, and recovery, this 45 minute low intensity training full body workout uses boxing, dance, dumbbells, light cardio and music to transform the mind and body. 

Please bring a water bottle. 

When: Wednesdays starting 23 July 

Time: 10:30am - 11:15am

Exploring Art Mediums with Julia Softley (Adults Class)

Discover your creative potential in this hands-on, beginner-friendly course designed for adults who are curious about the world of visual arts. 

Over the course of the program you'll be introduced to:

- Linocut & block printing
- Tropical-inspired gouache painting
- Air-dry clay sculpture 
- Watercolour pencil techniques
- Chalk & oil pastels 

When: Thursdays starting 24 July

Time: 11:30am - 1:30pm or 5pm - 7pm (please check dates for timing)

Tai Chi

The Beginners Chen Tai Chi Program is a 10-week journey to boost physical and mental well-being through Chen Family Tai Chi. 

Participants will learn Chen Tai Chi Qigong, Silk Reeling Foundations and the 5 Elements Chen Tai Chi form. 

When: Fridays starting 25 July
