July School Holidays 

There's a range of activities happening at the Bay View Community Centre these July school holidays! 

From crafts to special food-themed events, there is a wide range of things to choose from.

The majority of activities are free, however bookings are still required. All activities will be taking place at the Bay View Community Centre.

The events may be photographed for marketing purposes and you will have the option to opt-out on the day. 

Please note: Parents are required to stay and supervise their children throughout the events. 

Join us to roll, squish and shape air dry clay into anything you like!

In this fun-filled session, you'll decorate your very own ceramic mug using bright and colourful markers. Draw your favourite things, write your name, create patterns, it's up to you!

Come and join Japanese artist and food creator Nami Osaki from Nami's Art Room for her Blue Butterfly Bubble Tea Workshop! 

Nami will teach you how to make fresh boba (tapioca balls) from scratch with natural fruit and blue lemonade (as tea) from blue butterfly pea flowers. Everything is healthy, natural and super delicious. Plus, you'll get to put a 'Mochi Butterfly Fairy" into your drink!

All participants are required to bring the following items on the day - tea towel, drinking glass (500ml jar with a lid is the best option) and a straw.

Join us for a fun-filled Teddy Bear Picnic! Bring your favourite teddy bear along and enjoy a morning of fun activities. The morning will include story time, a creative teddy bear craft activity and a delicious biscuit decorating session.

Get creative and make a personalised photo frame using paint pens, colourful gems and fun stickers! Take it home and pop in a favourite photo to show off your masterpiece.

Welcome to a dynamic circus workshop where you'll explore a variety of captivating circus skills in a fun and supportive environment! Perfect for beginners and seasoned performers alike, this workshop offers a hands-on introduction to some of the most exciting elements of circus art. 

Led by skilled circus performers, this workshop offers personalised instruction and plenty of opportunities to practice each skill. Whether you're looking to try something new or enhance your circus repertoire, join us for a day of creativity, laughter and circus magic!

The below activities take place weekly during school Term Time

Baby Rhyme Time

Giggle, coo and cuddle as we explore our favourite rhymes and songs! It’s never too early to ignite a love for reading and sharing stories. Our Baby Rhyme Time sessions help develop your child’s pre-literacy and social skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Come along to our sessions and share the delight of stories, songs and picture books.

For babies 0-18 months and their parents/carers.

Story Time

Celebrate the special bond between children, parents, carers, guardians and grandparents with Story Time.

Board Game Club

Come and join in the fun of board games, from classics to the latest hits. 

When: Tuesdays (during school term time)

Time: 3.30pm-4.15pm

Walk-ins welcome! 

Crafternooners

Special craft activities for after school.

Suitable for all ages.

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Better Beginnings

Better Beginnings is a family literacy initiative from the State Library of Western Australia, designed to connect families with books through complimentary reading packs. The mission is to enhance literacy and learning outcomes for all children in WA.

Parents can pick up their free Better Beginnings reading packs at the Bay View Community Centre Library.

Better beginnings offer three tailored packs:

Each pack comes with engaging books, a bookmark, colourful stationery, and informative booklets to support families in their literacy journey.
