The Town of Claremont is calling for submissions for the 2025 Youth Photography Competition where participants are encouraged to share an original photo with the theme 'In your own world'.
The competition is open to all young people aged between 12-18 years who reside in and/or go to school in select local government boundaries.
With cash prizes on offer across a range of categories, judges will be looking for originality, quality and how well the image relates to the theme when shortlisting the competition winners.
Mayor Jock Barker said initiatives like this are important for youth engagement and show support for young creatives.
"This competition is a great way for them to showcase their skills," Mayor Barker said.
"I'm looking forward to seeing how everyone interprets the theme and what part of their world they choose to highlight for this competition."
Entries close at 5pm on Friday 28 March 2025.
Entrants must live in or attend school in one of the following local government boundaries: Town of Claremont, Town of Cambridge, Town of Cottesloe, Town of Mosman Park, City of Nedlands, Shire of Peppermint Grove and City of Subiaco.
