A Day on the Bay is returning on Sunday 18 May, bringing Claremont residents and visitors together for a fun family-friendly event at Mrs Herbert’s Park and the Claremont Foreshore.

Highlighting the natural beauty of the area, this event celebrates the beloved waterfront and gateway to the Swan River.

Eventgoers can enjoy both water and land-based activities with a focus on family fun, entertainment and sustainability. Children will be enticed by the mermaid meet and greet, kite flying and biodegradable glitter station, while a boat shed tour and live music will keep the adults entertained.

Mayor Jock Barker said this event highlights the foreshore as a cherished natural asset that means a lot to the Claremont community.

“A Bay on the Bay is the perfect way to spend a day out in the sun while connecting with nature and fostering a sense of community,” Mayor Barker said.

“I look forward to heading down to the foreshore and celebrating this cherished natural asset.”

This event is supported by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions’ (DBCA) Plastic Free program to help eliminate single use plastic on the day.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring their own water bottle and free refills will be available throughout the event. Additionally, GO2CUP will be providing reusable containers and cutlery to all the food trucks, and if you’re having a picnic, bring reusable containers. In the theme of sustainability, we encourage walking or cycling to this event.

A Day on the Bay is on Sunday 18 May 2025 from 10am – 1pm at Mrs Herbert’s Park. It’s a free event which the entire community can enjoy.
