At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 31 October 2023, Council resolved to readvertise the draft Town of Claremont Animal Local Law 2023.

The purpose of the Animal Local Law 2023 is to provide for the regulation, control and management of the keeping of dogs and cats within the district. The effect of the Animal Local Law 2023 is that persons who own or keep cats or dogs within the district are required to comply with the provisions of the proposed local law.

A copy of the draft Animal Local Law 2023 may be viewed at our Community Consultation page here.

Members of the public are invited to make a submission to the Town regarding the draft Animal Local Law 2023.

Submissions can be made by email to toc@claremont.wa.gov.au and must be received by no later than 5pm, Thursday 18 January 2024.
