The service will commence from 10:45am Thursday November 11 at the Claremont War Memorial on the corner of Stirling Highway and Bay View Terrace.
The Town of Claremont will hold a Remembrance Day service at the Claremont War Memorial in conjunction with the Claremont RSL sub-branch.
The service will commence from 10:45am Thursday November 11 at the Claremont War Memorial on the corner of Stirling Highway and Bay View Terrace.
Mayor Jock Barker said the service helps us remember that we never want to relive the horrors that older generations had to endure.
“It is in the remembrance of those who have gone to war for our country, who sacrificed their lives for the betterment of ours that communities across the nation come together on this day,” he said.
“We should be grateful to those who have helped preserve our nation and way of life through their sacrifice.”
Mayor Jock Barker will lay a wreath on behalf of the Town and invite members of the public to lay a wreath in remembrance of the sacrifices made in all armed conflicts throughout the 20th and 21st centuries.
