The Town of Claremont's premier event, A Night on Bay View, returns to Claremont Park on 15 February with the state's largest performing arts company, the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

Conducted by WASO's Associate Conductor, Jen Winley, A Night on Bay View will feature internationally acclaimed soprano Rachelle Durkin.

This year marks Jen's fourth time conducting the event and she said "I'm really looking forward to being part of the wonderful atmosphere of the evening. I love seeing the audience come together in the park under the festoon lights enjoying the wonderful music of WASO."

This year, concertgoers will be treated to classical favourites and famous musical scores from the worlds of ballet, opera and cinema.

Mayor Jock Barker said "A Night on Bay View gives families and friends the opportunity to spend time together listening and enjoying world class music under the stars. I'm especially looking forward to the special guests planning for the evening. This year the Western Australian Police Pipe Band will be joining WASO for the first time in the Claremont event's history."

Picnicking begins from 6pm and the concert runs from 7pm to 9pm.

This is a free event which the entire community can enjoy.
