Standard Terms & Conditions

By entering any Town of Claremont promotion, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Entrants must be 18 years or older.  

2. Town of Claremont Elected Members and Employees and their immediate family are not permitted to enter the competition and are ineligible for the prize/s.

3. The prize must be collected from the Town of Claremont Administration Office at 308 Stirling Highway, Claremont within 7 days and the prize winner must provide photo identification.

4. In the event the winner cannot be contacted or does not accept the prize within 14 days, an unclaimed prize draw will take place. 

5. The Town may cancel the promotion and not award the prize in circumstances beyond their reasonable control.

6. You agree to participate in and co-operate with all reasonable media requests, including being interviewed and photographed.  The Winner agrees to the Town using the footage and photographs at their discretion.

7. The winner consents to the release of their name and picture on the Town’s website and social media channels.

8. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash or transferred.

9. Entrants agree that their email address will be added to the Town of Claremont’s database and signed up to marketing materials including e-newsletters from Town of Claremont.

Pay your rates and WIN CASH 

By entering the "Pay your rates in full and WIN CASH" promotion ("the competition"), you agree to the following terms and conditions: 

1. There will be one (1) prize winner who will be drawn from all eligible entrants. The first prize is $1000 for ratepayers who have paid in full by 30 September 2026. 

2. Entrants must be a residential ratepayer. 

3. A winner will be drawn on Wednesday, 7 October 2026. An employee of the Town of Claremont will contact the prize winner by telephone within two business days of the draw. A confirmation email advising the winner of the prize will also be sent to the email address provided at the time of entry.

4. The prize will be processed by direct deposit directly into the nominated account.  

Terms and Conditions of Entry Carols in the Park - Search for a Star Competition 

By submitting an entry for the 2026 Carols in the Park - Search for a Star Competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

1. Entrants must be:

  • Individual vocalist (groups or musicians are not eligible to apply) 
  • Between 12-24 years (as of the closing date) 
  • Reside or study in the following local government boundaries: 
    • Town of Claremont,
    • Town of Cambridge, 
    • Town of Cottesloe,
    • Town of Mosman Park, 
    • City of Nedlands,
    • Shire of Peppermint Grove, and  
    • City of Subiaco

Proof of eligibility may be requested. 

2. Entrants must be able to perform on: 

  • Sunday 18 October (shortlisted applicants only), 
  • Tuesday 1 December 2026, Friday 4 December (rehearsal) and Saturday 5 December 2026 (winners only) 

 Entrants must also be available for rehearsals prior to the event at a mutually agreed time with Perth Symphony Orchestra. 

3. To enter, submit one (1) file/link to a video performance of the entrant's choice of song. This submission must be completed by online form on the Town of Claremont website here

4. The submission video must be a maximum of one (1) verse and one (1) chorus of the entrant's favourite song to perform, and the song shouldn't contain any slurs, profanity or discriminatory lyrics. 

5. Videos must be suitable for general consumption and does not contain any offensive material. 

6. Submissions must be received by 5pm AWST on Friday, 18 September 2026. No late entries will be accepted. 

7. The Prize consists of the winner performing at the Carols in the Park event at Claremont Park on Saturday 5 December 2026. The parameters of the winners' performance will be at the discretion of the Town of Claremont and Perth Symphony Orchestra. 

8. Shortlisted entrants will have the opportunity to compete at a live audition on Sunday 18 October at the A Day on the Bay event. If the entrant can't attend, they will be removed from the competition. Entrants will have the opportunity to sing one (1) song of their choice as part of the live competition.

9. All submitted videos will be reviewed by authorised Town officers and/or competition judges for assessment purposes. Entrants acknowledge that videos may be viewed for moderation, shortlisting, judging and compliance purposes. 

10. All entrants consent to the Town retaining the video footage for use in future publications (website/social media/print collateral etc). 

11. All shortlisted entrants must consent to being in photographs and video content for advertising, marketing or promotional purposes including print and electronic media for the Town. 

12. The Town will not be held liable for any damage, loss (both direct and indirect) and/or injury sustained by an entrant during the recoding of submission or participation in this competition. You participate in the competition at your own risk. 

13. The judging panel's decision is final. No disputes will be entered into. 

14. The Town reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any entries that breach these terms and conditions and/or are deemed to be inappropriate and/or offensive.  

15. The Town reserves the right to refuse, remove, delete or report any submission that it considers inappropriate, unsafe, offensive, unlawful or inconsistent with child-safe practices. 

16. Entrants are responsible for obtaining consent from any person appearing in their submission video. 

17. By entering this competition, you agree to the Terms and Conditions listed above and the general competition Terms and Conditions that apply to all competitions run by the Town of Claremont.
