The Town of Claremont is committed to providing opportunities for the local community to pursue recreational activities in a safe and welcoming environment. To ensure local sport and recreational clubs remain sustainable, the Town can offer advice on the establishment and operations of a sporting club, business planning, marketing and promotion, sponsorship opportunities and grant applications.

CLAREMONT FOOTBALL CLUB (CLAREMONT)

Founded as the amateur Cottesloe Beach Football Club in 1906, it has played home games from Claremont Oval since 1927 becoming known as the Claremont Football Club in 1935. Known as the Tigers sporting blue and gold as their colours, they have won 12 WAFL premierships in their history. They also have a WAFLW team which has competed as the Tigers since 2017 as well as an extensive junior's program for both boys and girls.

CLAREMONT LAWN TENNIS CLUB

Founded in 1901, Claremont Lawn Tennis Club is a well-respected, friendly family Club, catering for all ages and offering both social and competitive tennis. It's facilities include:

  • 12 superb grass courts, available all year round
  • 4 cushioned hard courts with lighting
  • 2 Synthetic Tiger Turf courts with lighting

CLAREMONT-NEDLANDS CRICKET CLUB INC

Early histories of the Club (1929 and 1948) state unequivocally the Claremont Cricket Club was founded in 1896 appearing on turf for the first time in 1908. Operating out of the newly refurbished McKenzie Pavilion the Tigers have an extensive juniors program as well as offering opportunity for all-abilities cricket.

WESTSIDE WOLVES HOCKEY CLUB

Westside Wolves Hockey Club was formed in 1987. The club is one of the largest in Perth and is based at Cresswell Park in Swanbourne. The club fields senior teams in both men's and women's competitions from First Grade to Veterans.

Claremont Aquatic Swimming Club

Claremont Aquatic Swimming Club is a small family orientated swimming club focusing on supporting young swimmers, community, having fun, doing your best and developing a lifelong love of swimming. Training and running interclub meets at the Claremont Aquatic Centre most mornings and afternoons, swimmers of all levels are welcome whether you’re in it for fitness, stroke and technique improvement or competitive swimming.  Offering swimming classes for juniors right up to State and National Qualifiers and Open Water Swimming Training.
