For the first time, the Town will collaborate with other local governments and the Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) for the well-known festival that aims to unite all Western Australians to celebrate trees, biodiversity, wildlife and the outdoors.

From far down south in Albany to up north in Joondalup or here in Claremont, there will be plenty of tree-mendous events, workshops and offerings that you can get involved in over the month.

The 2026 WA Tree Festival is sponsored by the Government of Western Australia, with the support of WALGA and Perth NRM.

Adopt a Spot Open all year around The Friends of Lake Claremont (FOLC) are seeking family, school and community groups to adopt a spot. FOLC will allocate a plot measuring 5 metres by 5 metres (larger for groups). It is then your responsibility to keep this area free of weeds and rubbish. You will need to visit your spot about once a month to maintain its weed-free condition. This helps our bush plants to grow freely and creates a lovely environment.
