A Day on the Bay is a family-friendly event set against the beautiful backdrop of the Claremont Foreshore.

There'll be all sorts of fun activities taking place on the day including:

  • Kayaking, Paddle boats, paddle swans and other water-based fun
  • Kite flying 
  • Biodegradable glitter station with the Eco Faeries
  • Sustainability stalls
  • Cuddly animal farm
  • Food vendors
  • Live music and performances
  • Meet a mermaid

This is a sustainable, environmentally-friendly event and we ask that you bring your own water bottle. There'll also be a water tank to allow free refills of water bottles.

We encourage walking or cycling to this event. 

This event is proudly supported by the Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions ‘Plastic Free Riverpark Program' funding.

A selection of food & beverage vendors will be serving up delicious treats on the day.

Food and drink vendors include:

  • Billy Van Creamery 

All vendors will be serving food and drinks in reusable items from Go2Cup.

Land activities:

  • Kite Workshop
  • Keep Australia Beautiful & Eco Faeries rubbish collection 
  • Biodegradable glitter station with Eco Faeries
  • Wormshed – build your own worm farm experience

Community Stall & Activities

  • Cottesloe Toy Library – Free toy play zone
  • Birdlife – Selling cards, earrings and general education
  • WA Seabird Rescue – Educational stand, kids colouring in and selling merchandise
  • Carlin Chiropractic – Face painting station x 2 + Free spinal check-up
  • Sensory Play sponsored by MLC Early Learning Centre *Lost children location*
  • Fishing experience with Fishability
  • Pelican Point Scout – Scouting adventure play zone
  • Claremont Football Club – Women’s Team | Merch/handball activation 
  • WMRC – Education stall and collection point for the prize for the water bottle campaign

Museum activities:

  • Swan Valley Cuddly Animal Farm
  • Save the Seal activity 
  • Boat Shed tour with local resident Chris Mews from 10:30am - 11am. Book your free ticket ahead of time here
  • Museum open – normal hours (10am - 2pm)
