With a generous layer of dieback-free mulch applied to the soil, local native plants require little water, fertiliser or ongoing maintenance once established.
Each year Town of Claremont offers price-subsidised native seedlings to local residents and business owners.
APACE Nursery (1 Johannah Street, North Fremantle) are open during May from 8am to 2:30pm Monday to Friday and from 8am to 12:30pm on Saturdays.
Plants available during the month of May while stocks last and operates on a first-come, first-served basis.
