Baby Rhyme Time

Giggle, coo and cuddle as we explore our favourite rhymes and songs! It’s never too early to ignite a love for reading and sharing stories. Our Baby Rhyme Time sessions help develop your child’s pre-literacy and social skills in a fun and engaging environment.

Come along to our sessions and share the delight of stories, songs and picture books.

For babies 0-18 months and their parents/carers.

Story Time

Celebrate the special bond between children, parents, carers, guardians and grandparents with Story Time.

Parents & Babies Yoga

These are classes perfect for parents and their children who want to experience the benefits of yoga. 

Whether you're a beginner or have previous yoga experience, our experienced instructor will guide you through a series of gentle stretches, breathing exercises and meditation techniques. 

It's a great way to improve your overall well-being, reduce stress and increase mindfulness.

Japanese Mochi-Dango Christmas Food Art with Nami Osaki

Come and join Japanese artist Nami Osaki for her "Dango Mochi" workshop! 

In this hands-on workshop, Nami will share her knowledge of traditional Japanese Dango making, along with contemporary techniques, to create Dango in easy, healthy and cost friendly ways.

Participants are required to bring their own plate and tea towel.

Your Move, Board Games for Kids

Come along and have fun playing board games at our free drop-in program. 

With old classics and new board games you may not have tried yet, this is a great opportunity to meet up and play with others for some fun and healthy competition. 

Games are supplied or bring your favourite along.

Christmas Collages

Make Christmas inspired collages using coloured paper and diamantes with Julia Softley.

Christmas Crafting - Make a Reindeer Gift Bag

Get into the Christmas spirit by crafting your very own reindeer gift bag.

Better Beginnings

Better Beginnings is a family literacy initiative from the State Library of Western Australia, designed to connect families with books through complimentary reading packs. The mission is to enhance literacy and learning outcomes for all children in WA by inspiring families to read, talk, sing, write, and play with their little ones every day.

Parents can pick up their free Better Beginnings reading packs at the Bay View Community Centre Library.

Better beginnings offer three tailored packs:

Each pack comes with engaging books, a bookmark, colourful stationery, and informative booklets to support families in their literacy journey. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity!
